Tehran, Iran 1976 UFO Intercept
The 1976 Tehran UFO Incident was spotted by radar satellite, and visual sighting by hundreds of witnesses of an unidentified flying object (UFO)north of Tehran, the capital of Iran, during the early morning hours of 19 September 1976. During the incident, many witnesses reported that a large moving light was observed and two Imperial Iranian Air Force F-4 Phantom II jet aircraft were launched.
The Imperial Iranian Air Force’s command post in the Tehran area[received] in quick succession, four calls arrived. reporting a series of strange airborne objects. A senior officer immediately scrambled an F-4 aircraft to investigate. The F-4 pilot reported that the brilliant object was easily visible 70 miles away. Lieutenant Yaddi Nazeri of the Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF), plus a backseat weapons officer, were dispatched in an F-4 Phantom II jet interceptor to investigate.
When the F-4 was25 NM [nautical miles] distant, the interceptor lost all instrumentation and UHF/Intercom communications. Upon breaking off the intercept and turning towards his home base, all systems returned to normal, as if the strange object no longer regarded the aircraft as a threat. The weapons officer reported losing all instruments, weapons data, and communications, so they turned toward their base, reporting that his instruments came back once he did so. Weapons system officers are responsible for detecting, targeting and engaging air-to-air or ground targets, communications, datalinks and/or defensive systems.
A second F-4 was scrambled ten minutes after the first. Upon reaching the 25 NM point, the UFO began rapidly moving away to maintain a constant separation distance. Visually, it resembled flashing strobe lights arranged in a rectangular pattern and alternating blue, green, red, and orange. Their sequence was so fast that all colors could be seen at once. As the F-4 continued pursuit north of Tehran, a second brightly lit object (about one-half to one-third the size of the moon) detached from the original UFO and headed straight for the F-4 at a high rate of speed.
The pilot attempted to fire an AIM-9 missile at the new object but was prevented by a sudden power loss in his weapons control panel. UHF and internal communications were simultaneously lost. The pilot promptly initiated a turn and negative G dive to escape. Continuing the turn, the pilot observed the second object turn inside of him and then away, subsequently returning to the primary UFO.

Iranian F-4raGenerals, pilots, and government officials go on the record, has some interesting quotes from both of Shah of Iran and the F-4 pilot who tried to shoot down the UFO. I personally briefed the 21st Air Force general staff regarding this incident that included satellite images of the UFO.
Major Parviz Jafari, an IIAF squadron commander, along with First Lieutenant Jalal Damirian as weapons officer, were dispatched in a second F-4 Phantom II to intercept the object. Jafari acquired radar lock on an object at a range of 27 nautical miles (≈ 50 km), its size compared to a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker.
As he approached the object, which Jafari described as “flashing with intense red, green, orange and blue lights so bright that I was not able to see its body,” his plane’s communications system shut off.
As he attempted to fire an AIM-9 Sidewinder infrared guided missile, his equipment shut down and only returned to
He did not normally fly during the night so this was an exceptional opportunity. The F-4 was carrying 8 missiles: 4 x heat-seeking and 4 x radar missiles plus most Iranian F-4s also had a Vulcan cannon installed that could fire 6,00 rounds per minute of 20 mm caliber ammo. .. He is quickly in the air and his plane weapons load-out indicates that Northern Iran was a front-line air defense identification zone hotspot.
Jafari orders his weapons officer to break the radar- lock on the UFO and re-paint it, to ensure they are not picking up ground effect. The F-4 is closing fast on the UFO when a small UFO object shoots out and speeds toward him. He attempts to fire his missiles but the weapons control and radios stopped working on a plane delivered from McDonald Douglas in 1974.
Lt. Jafari chases a UFO and Jafari says, “He selected and tried to fire Sidewinder missiles when he loses weapons panel, all instruments, and communications at 25 miles away from the UFO.. He is freaked out but does not lose his nerve at any moment”. He returns back to base quickly as the equipment returns to normal and lands.
The key to the story is that two F-4s with experienced pilots and back seat weapons officers all reported identical stories and loss of instruments, weapons control and communications after both planes had attempted intercept of the UFO. The incident indicates the UFO could disrupt aircraft instruments at 25 NM range with a powerful electronic defense.
At base USAF Colonel Mooy tells him, “he is lucky he could not fire” Th crews have blood tests taken, both aircraft tare checked for radiation and a battery of questions for the crews over a period by Iranian scientists authoring a scientific report. Iranian radar and hundreds of witnesses tracked the UFO north of I Iran for several hour indicating it was not some space planet or shooting star.

He began ruling the Imperial State of Iran after succeeding his father, Reza Shah, in 1941 and remained in power until he was overthrown by the 1979 Iranian Revolution, which abolished the country’s monarchy and established the Islamic Republic of Iran
The Shah became interested in the UFO incident and interviewed the F-4 crew..
The Shah asked to see the aircrews.
Jafari had chased the UFO, and the Shah was impressed the shah asked him, “What do you think about it?” He answered, “In my opinion they cannot be from our planet, because if anyone on this planet had such power, he would bring the whole planet under his own command”. He simply said, evaluate ´his claims of both planes losing weapons and communications..
Jafari is now a retired general who went on the record for a UFO and is not the only witness.
While on long approach the F-4 crew noted a second cylinder shaped UFIO pass directly overhead of them with bright steady lights on each end.
The Control tower personnel also saw the UFO.
The next day the crew flew to the area and picked up a radio signal from the house. They landed and questioned the owners who had seen the UFO the night before and heard a loud lightning like crash, but nothing was found. A civilian commercial aircraft flying in to Tehran also reported similar instrumentation problems.
The large UFO had the ability to disrupt the instrumentation, radio, and weapons control of two aircraft at a distance of 30 miles indicating advanced electromagnetic effects on THREE separate aircraft; physiological effect on some crew members; All crew members indicated UHF and intercom stopped working, along with instrumentation, and weapons control. When the F-4s turned away from the intercept everything came back almost immediate.ly The UFO intelligence apparently was well aware these planes were attacking and chose to disrupt their electronic jamming controls. This UFO showed capabilities in 1976, far beyond our capabilities and created interest among high ranking personnel.
Pirouzi also attempted to intercept the UFO and could not fire his weapons.
If one looks at the ETH, then judging by human behavior, which is the subjugation of the tech inferior by the tech superior, there are only a couple of valid theories as to why we have not been dominated / defeated yet.
ETs or “others” do not have hostile intent – but tell that to the hundreds of Western and probably Russian and Chinese and other pilots who have lost their lives in UFO encounters, plus the highly suspicious link between UFOs and nukes.
ETs or “others” are steadily infiltrating human societies as per Professor David Jacob states,
“They Walk among Us” theories, because while they have the tech to defeat earth militaries, they want the planet, resources and population for their use; not killed or destroyed. ETs or “others” know or believe that terrestrial earth militaries have an effective means of defense.
There is some ET balance of power, i.e., more than one ET race in play, who balance each other out and/or have alliances with terrestrial powers to prevent one side having an absolute advantage as to be able to physically take over the earth. We are already living in an ET-dominated scenario – we just do not know it – like the humans in The Matrix..

Editor’s Note: I briefed the 21st Air Force general staff that morning about the confidential UFO incident. Allegedly the incident was imaged on our satellites and the generals were very interested in the inability of the Sidewinder missiles to fire. Later the F-4 weapons system was checked out and functioned properly. I also flew with Iranian pilots and they seemed as competent as ours at the time before the Islamic Revolution of 1979 placed clergy in positions of power. US and Israeli War with Iran
F-35s
The Israeli and U.S. aircraft were able to destroy the Iranian aircraft and Air Defense radar making them ineffective. During major air operations, Lockheed MartinF-35 Lightning II stealth fighters bypassed traditional Iranian air defenses, leaving radar operators to track them effectively. This air superiority allowed the combined forces to target and destroy Iranian mobile missile launchers (TELs), radar installations, and support infrastructure. However, while these actions severely neutralized Iran’s primary air defense networks, they did not eliminate the threat entirely. Many Iranian aircraft were destroyed on the ground, while a YAK-130 WAS shot down by an Israeli F-35 and one IsraeliF-35 jet was lost.. Iran also deployed many aircraft to Pakistan. Intensive radar and GPS jamming blankets the Persian Gulf and Iranian airspace as part of an active electronic warfare campaign between U.S.-allied forces and Iran.
The Iranian Air Force still uses the ancient F-4s that has speeds of almost 1,500 miles per hour with a range of 1,750 miles. Faster than the released 1200 mph of our new F-35.. Iranian pilots primarily rely on third and fourth-generation airframes first introduced back in the Cold War. In addition to its fleet of Soviet MiG-29s, Su-24s, and Su-22s, Iran continues to fly the American-made F-14 Tomcat and F-4. U.S. forces use electronic warfare aircraft—such as EA-18G Growlers operating from carriers like the USS Abraham Lincoln—to flood Iranian radar frequencies with white noise, blocking operators from tracking incoming threats.
Current Status of the Air Conflict Targeting Radar Stations: Iran has used drone swarms and missile strikes to target and damage U.S. and allied early warning radar hardware, including Patriot and THAAD defense components across the Gulf region.
- Suppression of Defenses: The suppression of Iranian air defenses successfully prevented Iran from effectively deploying its “missile city” concepts, limiting their ability to protect mobile launchers.1
- Iran’s Resiliency: Despite the heavy destruction of its primary radar networks, Iran has deployed newly developed domestic systems, such as the Arash-e Kamangiras well as new radars delivered from China and Russia, which they have used to down U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drones and contest the airspace.
- Impact on Coalition Aircraft: While maintaining overall air superiority, the U.S. and Israel have faced ongoing threats, resulting in the documented loss of some assets, including a U.S. F-15E and an A-10 attack plane.
- Shifting Tactics: Because Western aircraft successfully blinded their main strategic radars, Iran has increasingly relied on low-altitude, asymmetric threats like one-way attack drones and highly accurate ballistic missiles aimed directly at U.S. and Israeli radar installations in the region.

Former U.S. Navy Commander David Fravor was a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Fravor, who was the subject of a New York Times article about his 2004 UFO sighting, discussed a spooky new sighting a fellow pilot revealed to him after they were both out of the Navy.
According to Fravor, the eyewitness was a former helicopter pilot of the MH-53E Sea Dragon, the Navy version of the Marine Corps’ CH-53E Sea Stallion, based at Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, on the island of Puerto Rico.
Twice while recovering spent practice munitions out of the water, the pilot spotted a weird underwater object.
In the first incident, the pilot saw a “dark mass” underwater as he and his team retrieved a flying practice drone. The pilot described the object as a “big” mass, “kind of circular”, and he was certain it wasn’t a submarine.
In the pilot’s second sighting, a practice torpedo that the pilot was sent to recover was “sucked down” into the depths of the ocean in the presence of a similar underwater object. T
The torpedo was never seen again.
Elsewhere in the interview, Fravor that a 79-year-old woman contacted him after his sighting went public. The woman explained that her father, a naval officer, was at one time based at the naval station in San Francisco in the 1950s. When she was a child, her father showed her a telegram that stated unidentified objects had been sighted going in and out of the water at a now forgotten set of latitude and longitude coordinates. The woman’s father told her, “We get these all the time, and it’s always in the same area”.
A BQM-174 high performance target drone similar to that recovered according to retired U.S. Navy Commander David Fravor. These sightings are similar to Fravor’s own sighting. According to the retired Navy pilot, the only reason he had seen the now-infamous “Tic Tac” UFO was because it was hovering above a mysterious larger object that was sighted underwater. Fravor describes the object as cross shaped and approximately the size of a Boeing 737 jetliner. He has further described the water above it as though it were “boiling” or “frothing”, and said the object disappeared after it caught his attention.
Air Force Order on Saucers Cited
The Air Force has sent its commands a warning to treat sightings of unidentified flying objects as “serious b business” directly related to the nation’s defense, it was learned today. An Air Force spokesman confirmed issuance of the directive after portions of it were made public by a private “flying saucer” group. The new regulations were issued by the Air Force inspector general on Dec. 24. Existence of the document was revealed by the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena [NICAP]. The privately financed committee accused the Air Force of deception in publicly describing reports of unidentified flying objects as delusions and hoaxes while sending the private admonition to its commands.
Vice Admiral R. H. Hillenkoetter (Ret.), a committee board member and former director of the Central Intelligence Agency,, … “It is time for the truth to be brought out in open Congressional hearings. Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about the UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense,” the retired admiral said. He charged that “to hide the facts, the Air Force has silenced its personnel.

An investigator for the Air Forces stated that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico. They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots. The saucers were found in New Mexico due to the fact that the Government has a very high powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with the controlling mechanism of the saucers.

Astronaut Edgar Michelll, who was part of the 1971 Apollo 14 moon mission, asserted that extraterrestrial life exists, and that the truth is being concealed by the U.S. and other governments. He delivered his remarks during an appearance at the National Press Club following the conclusion of the fifth annual X-Conference, a meeting of UFO activists and researchers studying the possibility of alien life forms. Mitchell grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, which some UFO believers maintain was the site of a UFO crash in 1947. He said residents of his hometown “had been hushed and told not to talk about their experience by military authorities. And being a local boy and having been to the moon, they considered me dependable enough to whisper in my ear their particular story.” Roughly 10 years ago, Mitchell claimed he was finally given an appointment at Pentagon to discuss what he had been told. An unnamed admiral working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff promised to uncover the truth behind the Roswell story, Mitchell said. The stories of a UFO crash “were confirmed,” but the admiral was then denied access when he “tried to get into the inner workings of that process.” The same admiral, Mitchell claimed, now denies the story. “I urge those who are doubtful: Read the books, read the lore, start to understand what has really been going on. Iran Missile and Drones Hits DE saltation Plants
But a new report states that this cooperation has been deeper than previously known.
NBC News reported on Tuesday that Russia has been shipping “drone components, ammunition and TNT” to Iran, in part to replenish stockpiles damaged in the war.
Iran Strikes Water Desalination Plants with Drones
Water and energy infrastructure have become one of Iran’s main levers of deterrence against the United States. Iranian Foreign Minister Aragchi recently made it clear to Gulf states that if the U.S. military renewed large-scale strikes on Iran, their critical infrastructure would be struck. Iranian forces’ operational history over the past six months confirmed the threat’s credibility.
Kuwait first reported damage near a desalination plant early in Operation Epic Fury, when debris from an intercepted drone struck the Doha West facility. Then, on March 7 and 8, Iran claimed a desalination facility on Qeshm Island had been attacked, and in response, struck a desalination facility in Bahrain. On March 29, an Iranian strike on a Kuwaiti power and desalination plant killed an Indian national at the site. On April 3, an unnamed Kuwaiti desalination plant was struck.
As the ceasefire melted into a peace-fire, water systems came back onto the target list. On July 17 and 18, Iranian strikes hit a Kuwaiti desalination plant on consecutive days, and U.S. strikes hit an Iranian electricity and desalination facility in Hormozgan province. By July 21, Kuwait’s electricity ministry reported Iranian strikes on its power and desalination plants for a fourth consecutive night.
An Indian national was killed on March 30, 2026, during an Iranian strike on a power and water desalination facility in Kuwait. The attack damaged a service building at the site and brought the total death toll of Indian citizens in the broader West Asia conflict to at least eight
The most recent set of Iranian attacks prompted emergency operations and appeals for electricity conservation, but available official and major-news reporting does not indicate that Kuwait imposed formal water rationing. This time, air defenses and other resilience measures appear to have held the line against worse outcomes. It is unclear whether they could do so against a more sustained Iranian strike campaign — for instance, a daily fire rate of 50 drones plus ballistic and cruise missiles directed at specific plant complexes.
The best way to keep water systems online is to shoot drones and missiles down away from the asset. Ukraine offers a counterexample: now that Ukrainian air defenders have run short of high-end surface-to-air missiles, Russia unleashes waves of ballistic missiles and the nightly toll in people and property is grim.
The shortage of U.S. and allied interceptor reloads that makes Ukraine vulnerable now would also apply to the Gulf States (and potentially Israel too) if Iran launched a sustained assault focused on water facilities (and associated power plants). A recent report estimates U.S. forces globally possess fewer than 1,000 Patriot missiles and approximately 250 THAAD interceptor rounds. The risk of allied air defenses going Winchester in the face of a days-long Iranian water infrastructure strike siege is thus plausible. Water as a Weapon of War
Humans have weaponized water against each other throughout recorded history and probably longer. Examples include the Chinese Nationalist Army’s decision to dynamite Yellow River levees in 1938 to deny access to advancing Japanese forces, Allied bombing of Germany’s Ruhr Valley dams in World War II, Allied strikes on a key North Korean irrigation dam in 1953 (per U.S. Air Force campaign records), Ukraine’s strategic flooding of areas near Kyiv in early 2022 to impede Russian invaders’ advance, and Russia’s 2023 destruction of the Nova Kakhovka Reservoir in southern Ukraine. But these examples generally emphasized using water to destroy infrastructure and deny access to key terrain.
The difference in today’s era of increasingly democratized long-range strike is that cutting off water supplies does not require Caesar’s legions, siege works, and underground galleries. A relatively small number of drones, each costing about as much as a typical new American pickup truck ($50,000 to $75,000, per the BBC), can shut down a water system supplying hundreds of thousands, or even millions of people. Destruction can be accomplished from distances of hundreds of kilometers, perhaps more. Ballistic and cruise missiles now available to more than two dozen state and non-state actors globally further amplify the threat even further.
For water, on the other hand, disruptions could trigger a major crisis within days, especially if an adversary has thoroughly mapped the water system and combines multiple rounds of kinetic strikes with cyber-attacks, both capabilities that Iran credibly possesses.
Once a desalination plant is knocked offline through direct physical damage, or indirectly through loss of electrical power, water storage, pipeline connectivity, and secondary groundwater production assets become critical. Publicly reported figures permit only an order-of-magnitude assessment. Qatar’s ready storage appears consistent with less than one week of coverage at average demand, while Saudi and Kuwaiti disclosures do not permit a reliable countrywide outage-endurance calculation. Actual coverage would depend on season, usable tank volume, network connectivity, emergency rationing, substitute groundwater, and concurrent damage to power and distribution systems.
Injecting excess desalinated water into aquifers for storage and later recovery offers an additional resilience option. Abu Dhabi has built the Liwa/Al-Dhafra aquifer storage and recovery system, which can reportedly store 90 days of supply for the city. Qatar has completed feasibility and pilot work for such a system, and the authors expect the Iran War will accelerate implementation efforts.
Riyadh and Kuwait City have existing groundwater production assets that could help maintain a portion of municipal water supplies in the event seawater desalination facilities were damaged or destroyed. Kuwait’s groundwater resource is brackish and would require treatment to be fully potable, making its secondary water supply vulnerable to strikes that meaningfully reduce the country’s electricity supply. Saudi Arabia also has the option of shifting desalinated water supplies by pipeline to compensate for disruptions. It does not have cross-peninsula connectivity but can reroute water on both the Gulf and Red Sea coasts through a water pipeline network that is more than 14,000 km long.
Resilience measures also do not address the security of wastewater treatment facilities, which, if attacked, could trigger major sanitation and public health crises. CHAGFORD, DEVON — On May 28, 2008, at 10:41 PM, a very bright light moving at a constant speed from west to east, directly over Chagford. Period of viewing was about 2 – 3 minutes. I went outside to see what I originally thought to be a bright star in the west.
It slowly moved across the horizon directly overhead. It’s brightness gained in intensity whilst overhead which leads me to believe it was quite low. From no angle was the light obscured in any way (as would an aircraft with its fuselage) as it moved off into the eastern horizon.
There was absolutely no sound. The object was far brighter than any other star in the sky and easily brighter than any satellite I’ve ever seen. Pantex nuclear plan
