Donald Slayton, a Mercury astronaut, revealed in an interview he had seen UFOs in 1951: “I was evaluating a P-51 fighter in Minneapolis when I spotted this object. I was at about 10,000 feet on a nice, bright, sunny afternoon. A breakthrough in laser propeller efficiency by Chinese scientists could transform underwater watercraft propulsion.
Laser Pulse Via Optical Fibers Genera Powerful Thrust
SCMP reported that the experts have improved laser propeller efficiency, which might drive underwater vehicles at unprecedented speeds. In “underwater fiber laser-induced plasma detonation wave propulsion,” laser pulses emitted via the submarine’s optical fibers, thinner than a human hair, generate roughly 70,000 newtons of thrust, similar to a commercial jet engine. Laser pulses provide propulsion and cause “super cavitation,” which vaporizes saltwater and creates undersea bubbles. This method greatly decreases water resistance and might allow submarines to travel faster than sound without creating mechanical noise vibrations that indicate their position.
Project leader Ge Yang, an assistant professor at Harbin Engineering University, advances the People’s Liberation Army Navy’s armament and equipment technology. However, US sanctions and blockades have targeted the northeastern Chinese institution.
It may be the Chinese captured am alien underwater craft and are experimenting with the concepts used to move their craft at high speeds. Two decades after Japanese scientists introduced the idea, it has garnered global attention and research funding, notably in China. Ge’s team solved energy loss and propulsion direction control problems by improving laser-to-thrust conversion efficiency by many orders of magnitude. The technique has great potential for military applications, including stealth propulsion for nuclear submarines, but many obstacles remain.

It’s called the Silurian Hypothesis ( it’s named after a bunch of Doctor Who aliens). Basically, it states that human beings might not be the first intelligent life forms to have evolved on this planet and that if there really were precursors some 100 million years ago, virtually all signs of them would have been lost by now. In case you get the wrong idea, physicist and study co-author Adam Frank cleared things up in an Atlantic article by saying, “It’s not often that you write a paper proposing a hypothesis that you don’t support.” In other words, they don’t really believe that there was an ancient civilization of Lizard People. Instead, their goal is to discover the ways that we might find the signs of ancient civilizations on other planets, or evidence they came to Earth and built underwater cities.

It might seem obvious that we would see the signs of such a civilization — after all, there were dinosaurs 100 million years ago, and we know that because we’ve found their fossils. But they were around for more than 150 million years. The alien bones could dissolve quickly
That’s important because it’s not just about how old the ruins of this hypothetical civilization would be, nor how widespread it was. It’s also about how long it was around. Humanity has spread across the globe in a remarkably short amount of time — over the course of about 100,000 years. If another species did the same, then our chances of spotting it in the geological record would be a whole lot smaller. Frank and his climatologist co-author Gavin Schmidt’s paper is meant to pinpoint the methods of spotting deep-time civilizations.
A Needle in Time’s Haystack
We probably don’t have to tell you that humanity is already having a long-term effect on the planet. Even as it breaks down, plastic will degrade into microparticles that integrate themselves into the sediment for eons to come. But while they might hang around for a long time, it could still be difficult to count on actually finding that miniscule strata of plastic shards. Instead, it could be more fruitful to go looking for periods of heightened carbon in the atmosphere.
Right now, the planet is in the Anthropocene period, which is characterized by the widespread dominance of human beings. It’s also characterized by an unprecedented spike in airborne carbon. That’s not to say that there is more carbon in the atmosphere than ever before. 56 million years ago, the planet went through the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM), a period of extremely high temperatures around the world. We’re talking 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius) at the poles warm. There’s also evidence of heightened fossil carbons in the air at the same time — and the exact reasons for that aren’t fully known. So, was it an ancient civilization? In a word: no, that increase of carbon unfolded over the course of a couple hundred thousand years. The spike that we’re currently undergoing is a fresh-faced 300 years old.
The takeaway from this fascinating study is that there is, in fact, a way to look for ancient civilizations. All you have to do is comb through ice cores for signs of carbon dioxide in short, sharp bursts — but the “needle” they’d be looking for in this haystack would be easy to miss if the researchers don’t know what they were looking for. City Underwater West of Cuba
The initial underwater discovery was made in 2001 while marine engineer Pauline Zalitzki and her husband Paul Weinzweig, who run the Canadian business Advanced Digital Communications (ADC), were collaborating with the Cuban government on a survey mission off the western coast of the Guanahacabibes Peninsula in the Pinar del Ro Province of Cuba.
ADC was one of four companies collaborating with the government of President Fidel Castro to explore the Cuban seas, which are thought to be home to thousands of treasure-laden ships from the Spanish colonial era. The crew discovered a collection of symmetrical and geometric stone structures that resembled an urban complex while utilizing cutting-edge sonar technology to investigate a 2-square-kilometer area of the sea floor.

When Zalitzki examined the sonar images, he noticed what seemed to be strange structures of crests, blocks, and geometric forms. Some of the blocks appeared to be constructed in pyramid shapes, while others were round. In July 2001, they went back to the location with senior researcher and geologist Manuel Iturralde of the Natural History Museum of Cuba. This time, they used a remotely operated vehicle to look at and record the structures. Large, roughly 8-by-10-foot chunks of stone that resembled hewn granite were visible in the photographs. Some of the blocks appeared to be placed on top of one another on purpose, while others appeared to be left alone. Zalitzki stated that although it appeared that the photographs depicted the ruins of a sunken metropolis, he was hesitant to make any judgments in the absence of more information.
Iturralde, an expert in undersea formations, remarked on these “very unique structures” that had “caught our imagination.” But I would struggle to explain this in terms of geology. According to an estimate, it would have taken 50,000 years for such structures to submerge to the depth where they were allegedly discovered. Iturralde continued, “With any of the cultures we are aware of 50,000 years ago, there was not the architectural capacity to build elaborate buildings.” A Florida State University expert in underwater archaeology commented, “If they were correct, that would be cool, but it would be very advanced compared to what we would have seen in the New World at that time. The buildings are both out of place and out of time.”
News outlets quickly drew comparisons between the discovery and the mythical lost city of Atlantis during the media frenzy that followed the announcement of its discovery. Zalinski and Weinzweig, however, resisted drawing such analogies. Zelenskyy claimed, what we discovered was most likely originally part of a local culture that existed along a 100-mile “land bridge” that connected Cuba and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Iturralde continued by mentioning local myths about the Maya and Indigenous Yucatec’s that describe an island home to their ancestors that disappeared beneath the waters. Iturralde does not rule out the possibility that the rock formations could simply be the consequence of Mother Nature’s miracles, though. He claimed that nature was capable of producing some truly incredible structures. It may have been an Alien ET base.

Others are less inclined to embrace this viewpoint, despite the fact that hundreds of media outlets have covered submerged ruins, advanced civilizations, the lost city of Atlantis, and sunken cities. The depth of the purported ruins, according to Keith Fitzpatrick-Matthews of the debunking website Bad Archaeology, is the largest issue for advocates of the sunken city theory. Sea levels decreased dramatically during the Pleistocene, which was marked by a series of ice ages with a maximum dip of about 100 meters. This underwater city is 700 meters (2300 feet) in depth the only one deeper than 150 meters.
It is speculated that this underwater city is a hundred thousand (100,000) years old and at that time was above water.
This suggests a very ancient human or alien ET civilization built it. Aliens claim many of their cities have pyramids and have visited Earth in the ancient past before humans had developed the necessary skills to erect cities and pyramids. .
It was never above sea level during the Ice Period unless the area on which they were standing had obviously sunk. Atlantis is said to have been destroyed “by terrible earthquakes and floods,” according to Plato’s version. It is doubtful that an entire city could have survived dropping more than 600 meters into an abyss, Fitzpatrick-Matthews says, assuming we take Plato at his word, which is what we must do if we think that Atlantis was a real location.
these stone structures appear to represent an ancient, submerged city, geologists and other scientists would undoubtedly be quick to seize upon the discovery .Curiously, no recorded follow-up inquiries have been made, and media sources have completely stopped reporting on the situation. What happened to all the assurances that the government, National Geographic, the National Museum, and other scientists would conduct additional surveys?

The Atlantis Dialogue: by Plato The Original Story of the Lost City, Civilization
Atlantis was first introduced by the Greek philosopher Plato in two “dialogues” he wrote in ‘the fourth century B.C. His tale of a great empire that sank beneath the waves has generated countless books, dramatic adaptations, archeological expeditions, and more. Did Plato mean his tale as ancient history, or just as a parable to help illustrate his philosophy?

Lt me begin by observing first of all, that nine thousand was the sum of years which had elapsed since the war which was said to have taken place between those who dwelt outside the pillars of Heracles and all who dwelt within them; this war I am going to describe.

Of the second pair of twins, he called one Ampheres and the other Evaemon. To the third pair of twins, he gave the name Mneseus to the elder, and Autochthon to the one who followed him. Of the fourth pair of twins he called the elder Elasippus and the younger Mestor, And of the fifth pair be gave to the elder the name of Azaes, and to the younger Diaprepes.
All these and their descendants were the inhabitants and rulers of divers islands in the open sea; and also, as has been already said, they held sway in the other direction over the country within the Pillars as far as Egypt and Italy.
Now Atlas had a numerous and honorable family, and his eldest branch always retained the kingdom, which the eldest son handed on to his eldest for many generations; and they had such an amount of wealth as was never before possessed by kings and potentates, and is not likely ever to be again, and they were furnished with everything which they could have, both in city and country. For, because of the greatness of their empire, many things were brought to them from foreign countries, and the island itself provided much of what was required by them for the uses of life.
In the first place, they dug out of the earth whatever was to be found there, mineral as well as metal, and that which is now only a name, and was then something more than a name — orichalcum — was dug out of the earth in many parts of the island, and, with the exception of gold, was esteemed the most precious of metals among the men of those days.
One of the Cities Atlantis
There was an abundance of wood for carpenters’ work, and sufficient maintenance for tame and wild animals. Moreover, there were a great number of elephants in the island, and there was provision for animals of every kind, both for those which live in lakes and marshes and rivers, and also for those which live in mountains and on plains, and therefore for the animal which is the largest and most voracious of them.
Also, whatever fragrant things there are in ‘‘‘the earth, whether roots, or herbage, or woods, or distilling drops of flowers or fruit , grew and thrived in that land.
Atlantis Temples, and palace
All these things they received from the earth, and they employed themselves in constructing their temples, and palaces, and harbors, and docks; and they arranged the whole country in the following manner: First of all they bridged over the zones of sea which surrounded the ancient metropolis, and made a passage into and out of the royal palace; they began to build the palace and then the habitation of the god and of their ancestors.
This they continued to ornament in successive generations, every king surpassing the one who came before him to the utmost of his power, until they made the building a marvel to behold for size and for beauty. And, beginning from the sea, they dug a canal three hundred feet in width and one hundred feet in depth, and fifty stadia in length, which they carried through to the outermost zone, making a passage from the sea up to this, which became a harbor, and leaving an opening sufficient to enable the largest vessels to find ingress. Moreover, they divided the zones of land which parted the zones of sea, constructing bridges of such a width as would leave a passage for a single trireme to pass out of one into another, and roofed them over; and there was a way underneath for the ships, for the banks of the zones were raised considerably above the water.
This, and the zones and the bridge, which was the sixth part of a stadium in width, they surrounded by a stone wall, on either side placing towers, and gates on the bridges where the sea passed in. Some of their buildings were simple, but in others they put together different stones, which they intermingled for the sake of ornament. The entire circuit of the wall which went round the outermost one they covered with a coating of brass, and the circuit of the next wall they coated with tin, and the third, which encompassed the citadel flashed with the light of orichalcum (a form of brass). .
The in the interior of the citadel were constructed in this wise: In the center of palaces was a holy temple dedicated to Cleito and Poseidon, which was surrounded by an enclosure of gold; this was the spot in which they originally begat the race of the ten princes, and thither they annually brought the fruits of the earth. Here, too, was Poseidon’s own temple, of a stadium in length and half a stadium in width, and of a proportionate height of splendor.
All the outside of the temple, they covered with silver, and the pinnacles with gold. In the interior of the temple the roof was of ivory, adorned everywhere with gold and silver and orichalcum; .
There were also in the interior of the temple other images which had been dedicated by private individuals. And around the temple on the outside were placed statues of gold of all the ten kings.
“In the next place, they used fountains both of cold and hot springs; these were very abundant, and both kinds wonderfully adapted to use by reason of the sweetness and excellence of their waters. They constructed buildings about them, and planted suitable trees; also, cisterns, some open to heaven, others which they roofed over, to be used in winter as warm baths, there were the king’s baths, and the baths of private persons.
The water which ran off they carried, some to the grove of Poseidon, where were growing all manner of trees of wonderful height and beauty, owing to the excellence of the soil; the remainder was conveyed by aqueducts which passed over the bridges to the outer circles:
Also, there were guardhouses at intervals for the bodyguard, the more trusted of whom had their duties appointed to them in the lesser zone, which was nearer the Acropolis; while the most trusted of all had houses given them within the citadel, and about the persons of the kings. The docks were full of triremes and naval stores.
Crossing the outer harbors, which were three in number, you would come to a wall which began at the sea and went all round: this was everywhere distant fifty stadia from the largest zone and harbor, and enclosed the whole, meeting at the mouth of the channel toward the sea. The entire area was densely crowded with habitations; and the canal and the largest of the harbors were full of vessels and merchants.

The whole country was described as being very lofty and precipitous on the side of the sea, but the country immediately about and surrounding the city was a level plain, itself surrounded by mountains.
‘It had an oblong shape, extending in one direction three thousand stadia, (344 Miles) going up the country from the sea through the center of the island two thousand stadia; (230 miles) the whole region of the island lies toward the south, and is sheltered from the north.
The surrounding mountains he celebrated for their number and size and beauty, in which they exceeded all that are now to be seen anywhere; having in them also many wealthy inhabited villages, and rivers and lakes, and meadows supplying food enough for every animal, wild or tame, and wood of various sorts, abundant for every kind of work. The plain, which had been cultivated during many ages by many generations of kings was rectangular, and for the most part straight and oblong; and what it wanted of the straight line followed the line of the circular ditch. It received the streams which came down from the mountains, and winding round the plain, and touching the city at various points, was let off into the sea. Twice in the year they gathered the fruits of the earth–in winter having the benefit of the rains, and in summer introducing the water of the canals. As to the population, each of the square lots in the plain had an appointed chief of men who were fit for military service, and there were sixty thousand lots.
The inhabitants of the country had strong leaders, to whom they were assigned according to their dwellings and villages. The leader was required to furnish for the war the sixth portion of a war-chariot, so as to make up a total of ten thousand chariots; also two horses and riders upon them, and a light chariot without a seat, accompanied by a fighting man on foot carrying a small shield, He was bound to furnish two heavy-armed men, two archers, two slingers, three stone-shooters, and three javelin men, who were skirmishers, and four sailors to make up a complement of twelve hundred ships.
Such was the order of war in the royal city–that of the other nine governments was different in each of them, and would be wearisome to narrate. As to offices and honors, the following was the arrangement from the first: Each of the ten kings, in his own division and in his own city, had the absolute control of the citizens, and in many cases of the laws, punishing and slaying whomsoever he would.
“Now the relations of their governments to one another were regulated by the injunctions of Poseidon as the law had handed them down. And when they were gathered together they consulted about public affairs, and inquired if anyone had transgressed in anything, and passed judgment on him accordingly:
There were many special laws that they were not to take up arms against one another, and they were all to come to the rescue if any one who is in danger.
They had to give supremacy to the family of Atlas. “Such was the vast power which the god settled in the lost island of Atlantis. They were sober, and saw that all goods are increased by friendship with one another. When this divine portion began to fade away in them, and became diluted too often, and with too much of the mortal admixture, and the human nature got the upper-hand, then, they being unable to bear their fortune, became unseemly. They became filled with unrighteous avarice and power.
Zeus, the god of gods, who rules with law, and is able to see into such things, perceiving that an honorable race was in a most wretched state, and wanting to inflict punishment on them.
And when he had called them together he spoke as follows:”

US Army Deploys Stryker-Mounted Laser Weapons to Middle East. The US Army has sent Stryker-mounted laser weapon prototypes to the Middle East to assess their “real-world applicability.” Four Directed Energy Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (DE M-SHORAD) prototypes recently arrived at US Central Command (CENTCOM) and have begun initial testing, according to Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. James Mingus.

The systems, which feature the cutting-edge integration of 50-kilowatt lasers onto Stryker armored fighting vehicles, are designed to intercept and destroy most drones, as well as incoming rockets, artillery, and mortars. Despite the increasing drone threats, Mingus clarified that the laser weapons will not do live-fire tests yet. “Our high-energy lasers are so susceptible to weather. That’s why I think this is going to be a great laboratory because anytime there’s a dust storm, anytime there’s that kind of thing, it starts to alter the physics of the light particles that actually shoot that beam,” he told Breaking Defense.
