An Arizona witness in Apache Junction who is employed at Sky Harbor Airport with a military background reported watching a light ascending and descending in the sky and making 90-degree turns beginning about 8:30 p.m. on May 1, 2014, according to testimony in Case 55956 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was at home in Apache Junction and looking into the western sky when the object was first seen moving to the south.
“It turned straight up at a 90-degree turn and then hovered,” the witness stated. “Then it headed straight back north again and then shot straight down with a 90-degree turn to the horizon. Seconds later it reappeared in an ascending direction, hovered, and then descended, ascended again and shot off again.”
The witness asked his wife and son to step outside to watch the object. The sighting continued for another five minutes.
“I was in the Air Force working on F-16’s. Aircraft or helicopters don’t move like this. I have no idea what this was but sure would love to know. I checked the local news but saw nothing.”
